The Americanos love playing weddings and we would be happy to play for you! 

We perform at lots of weddings each year and play a wide range of music from many eras and in many styles with something for everyone to enjoy. We've played events both big and small including parties for President Clinton, The Gates Foundation, and Anne Hathaway's wedding, and we have played many brides and grooms down the aisle with their favorite songs :)

Our music is both interesting enough to engage listeners and light enough to serve as a soundtrack for your guests interactions. Our group sound is always transparent so guests can have a normal conversation right in front of the band and hear each other clearly. 


While usually we are hired for our light sound to play welcome music, ceremonies, cocktail hour, and dinner music, we can play a fun set of dance music as well. Often times we play the beginning of the weddings and after dinner we leave the music to your favorite DJ.

Here is some basic information folks usually ask about when booking our group for a wedding:


• Generally we play as a trio of mandolin, guitar, and bass and we all sing as well. If desired we can augment the group by adding a female vocalist or other instruments like accordion, drums or horns. 


• Our group can play acoustically, with small amplifiers or with a full PA system depending on the event.


• We are very mobile and it is easy for us to move locations during an event especially if we are playing acoustically.  


• We do take requests and if possible are happy to learn new songs for ceremonies, first dances, and other special moments. 


• Our fees are all inclusive and will cover our equipment, travel time,  performance time, etc… 


• We are pretty self contained although we will need use of 2-3 armless chairs from the venue and use of a working electrical outlet in the performance area where amplification is desired. 


• To get started  I will need to know some of the big details like the date, the venue, and the start and end time for our full performance.


• If you are interested in booking the group I will ask you for some details and we can chat about exactly what you want for your event. When we agree on all the details I will write up a service agreement based on those details and send it to you.  If that agreement looks good you can return it to me with a deposit and we will be good to go for a while. As your date gets closer we will chat about the special musical requests and other details that will come up.
